This is my brick wall. I am trying
to find the parents of my fourth great-grandfather,
Thomas Horney, who married Elizabeth "Betsy" Sewell.
Their marriage license was recorded November 15, 1814
in Talbot County, Maryland. He lived in Queen Anne's Co,
Maryland from at least 1833 until his death in the spring of 1859.

Thomas Horney might have been the son or brother of
Peter, John or William Horney who were all living
in Queen Anne's County, Maryland in 1810 when
the census was taken.

Another theory, since Thomas Horney was married
in Talbot County, Maryland November 1814, and
since he mentioned his lands in Talbot County in
his will in 1859 (in QA co.), he could also have been
a son of Thomas, John, William or James Horney
who were listed as heads of household in the 1790
and 1800 Talbot County census. They would have been
born about or before 1770 in Talbot County, Maryland.

A William Horney   2 died by January 4, 1768
in Talbot County, Maryland. His Inventory
named next of kin, James and Jeffery Horney,
and Thomas Horney, administrator.
Could the Thomas and James listed in the 1790
census be sons or grandsons of William Horney
whose Inventory was first dated January 4, 1768?
