My Granduncle, Frank Joseph Calabrese, was
born January 5, 1922 in El Paso, Texas U.S.A.
His family moved to Baltimore, Maryland when he
was an infant between 1922 and December 1923,
where he departed this life on September 22, 1997
at the age of 86 years, 8 months and 3 days.
As I began to look for 1920s Calabrese births in the
Texas Birth Index, I could not find the birth record for
Frank Joseph Calabrese, but I did come upon a child
born the same day.
Reyes Calabriesi was born January 5, 1922
in El Paso County, Texas. This lead me to believe that I found
the birth record index of my granduncle, Frank Joseph Calabrese.
On March 31, 2006, I requested the birth certificate
electronically from the El Paso County Clerk of El Paso, Texas.
I received a response by U.S. Mail only six days later
on April 6, 2006. The (delayed) birth certificate of
Reyes Calabresi, born January 5, 1922 in El Paso,
El Paso County, Texas, confirmed that he was the
son of Joe
Calabresi and Enriqueta Triste.
The first name Reyes is masculine and means
Kings in Spanish, in reference to the three Magi.

I often wonder if any of our Italian

younger sister, Tammy
or my mother, Doris.
