Mary BREWER was born on 23 May 1809. She died on 18 Apr 1872 in Weston, MO.. On September 14, 1839, William Anno, Jr. and his wife Mary, of Mason
County sell to Sanford Netser, of Adams County, Ohio for 600 dollars
70 acres on waters of Stone Lick in Mason County, Kentucky.

William Anno. Jr. apparently sold this land in preparation for the
families move to Missouri. The will of William Anno, Jr. was dated
October 3, 1839 and it was proven November 4, 1839. He left the
wagon and team and all personal estate to wife, Mary as long as she
lives, and at her death said property to be equally divided between
the children. The executor was William Johnston and the witnesses were
John A. Clark and R. R. Ross. The family was preparing to move to
Missouri when William died. After his death the family moved to
Missouri.

Mary Anno is listed on a plate map for Platte County, Missouri dated
July 21, 1843. She is living on a 1/8 section of section 29 which is
located close to the Missouri river. Section 29 which is adjacent
lies on the river. Alfred Soward owns a quarter section (160 acres)
of section 28. Thomas Cook also owns a quarter section in section 28.
Section 28 is located a few miles North of Weston, Missouri. On April
1, 1846 a patent was issued to Mary Ann (Brewer) Anno of Platte
County, Missouri for final payment on 80 acres of 'Pre-emption' land
in Platte County. The land patent was identified as 'Pre-emption'.
This was a tactful way of saying squatter. Therefor the settler was
physically on the property before it was officially sold or even
surveyed. The squatter was given the right to acquire the land from
the United States. Due to the backlog in the mid 1800's, it was not
unusual for several years to pass between the time an individual
purchased the land and the time a patent for the land was finally
signed by the General Land Office in Washington D.C. Mary Anno still
owns the land in section 2 8 on the 1849 Platte County Tax list. This
information was contained in Platte County, Missouri Records
1839-1849, Platte County Historical Society.

In t he 1860 Federal Census, Mary Anno is living in Marshall Township,
Platte County. She is listed as 54 years of age born in Kentucky.
Living with her are William Anno age 23 born in Kentucky, and Rebecca
Anno age 20 born in Kentucky. Mary Anno died April 18, 1872 at 65
years, 10 months, and 25 days. She would have been born in 1806. She
is buried in the Cook Cemetery.

Rachel Anno, daughter, married Hamilton Cook who was the son of Thomas
Cook. Thomas Cook's farm was next to Mary Anno's farm. The source for
this information was Cemetery Records of Platte County, Missouri,
compiled by the Platte County Historical Society. William Anno and
Mary Brewer bought land in the Platte Purchase ( Missouri) in 1839
which became platte County, MO.

They started for Platte Co, MO. with five other families in 1839, but
William became ill and the family ( wife & 4 children) returned to
Mason County, Kentucky. William Anno died October 4, 1839, and he is
buried in the Orangebury Cemetary. The family moved to Missouri
shortly after William Anno's death. The family settled on preemption
land four miles north of Weston, Missouri. The 1860 US Census for
Platte County, MO. lista a Mary Anno, age 54 born in Kentucky.

A William Anno, age 23 born Kentucky and Rebecca Anno, age 20 born
Kentucky are living with Mary Anno . The 1877 plate map for Township
No 54, North of Range 36 West, Platte County, Missouri lists the
