These are the churches around the Chamberlains area that I have found Chaytor/Cheater records in. All of my research efforts so far have been done long distance. I have written requests and emailed requests. I have found that the Cathedral in St. John’s, gives the best response. They will email you back with their findings and ask if you would like a certificate or photocopy of the record. There is a charge but it is worth it. I haven’t had the same sort of luck lately with St. John the Evangelist Church in Topsail. Though earlier requests were answered. They even sent me my Baptism certificate which I requested in 1998. My mother misplaced my original.
