  The belfry was rebuilt in the 1960's by members of the Lucas Family.  It was again restored in 2006 by the Armenian Church

Some Armenian Church inscriptions for Syedabad between 1726 and 1782 extracted from Bengal Past and Present.
Settlement founded under a grant of Aurangzeb in 1665

705 28 Aug 1726 Agajhan Mackertoom Agajhan This is the tomb of MACKERTOOM, son of Agajhan, who departed from this world on the 7th day of Nadar in the year 111, at Syedabad.
706 21 Nov 1750 Chughnaz Augustus Chughnaz This is the tomb of the late AUGUSTS, the son of Chughnaz, who departed this life at Syedabad on the 1st day of Hamirah in the year 135.
707 25 Jan 1761 Sarkies Nicholas Sarkies This is the tomb of AGAH NICHOLAS, son of the late Agah Sarkies of Erivan, who departed this life on the 4th day of Ovdan in the year 146, at Syedabad.
708 1762 Arratoon Barsick Arratoon This is the tomb of BARSICK, son of Arratoon, from Erivan in Julfa, who died at Syedabad in the year 1762 A.D.
709 1762 Carapiet Mackertoom Carapiet This is the tomb of MACKERTOOM, son of Carapiet of the Khoojmall family, who died at Syedabad in the year 147.

711 26 Jan 1766 Magus Chater Magus This is the tomb of CHATER, son of Magnus of Khoo-here in Julfa, who departed this life at Syedabad on the 5th day of Ovdan 1766 A.D.
712 28 May 1766 Pogose Thorose Pogose This is the tomb of THOROSE, son of Pogose, who departed from this world at Syedabad on the 7th day of Shabath in the year 151.
713 7 April 1770 Koozentz Meenass Koozentz This is the tomb of MEENAS, son of Nazar Koozentz, who departed from this world on the 17th day of Shams in the year 155 at Syedabad.
714 11 Dec 1782 Malcom Bagdassar Malcom This is the tomb of the late Reverend BAGDASSAR, son of Malcom, who departed this life at Syedabad on the 21st day of Hamirah 1782 A.D.
