HENRY LUKE DIED
EARLY THIS MORNING
Henry Luke died at 2 o'clock a. m., June 3rd, at the home of his son, John
Luke, of Lake View avenue. After an illness of several months.
The deceased would have been 81 years old had he lived till August. He
was twice married, being father of five children by his first marriage, two of
whom, John and Will, live in this city. He is survived by two sons, two
grandsons, Bliss Bates, of Jamestown, Pa., and Henry Luke, one brother and four
sisters. He was a soldier in the Rebellion. A member of Company B, 137 the
Regiment Pa. Vol. He was in the battles of South Mountain, Antietam and
Chancellorsville. He was a member of G. A. R. Post at Conneautville.
Funeral will be held at 2 p. m. Monday, at the home, under the auspices of
the G. A. R. of Conneaut, O. Interment in Glenwood cemetery.
