There are several Henson families through out the United States. Most seem to come out of England. My family does come out of England, however, it is said that is not where they originated.

Stories have been circulating that all of the Henson's in the United States go back to 4 brothers who came from England. These stories are, unfortunately, mythes. Of course I can only speak on the behalf of my family. James Henson married to Hetty Lancaster has been proven to not be one of the "four brothers". Out of the six brothers James is the only one to have been proven to come to the United states. He has two brothers that may have come over, but we do not have their death info. The other three brothers were born and died in England. Two sisters died in Egland. The third sister does not have a death date or place listed as of yet.
