Welcome to the Page about Earlin Louella Butler-Morris
Earlin was my grandmother. She is the reason I started doing genealogy. She died when my dad was only 10 years old so I did not get a chance to know her. Through the research I have not only come to know her, but to love her very much.

A poem she wrote in 1955:
I'm writing a letter to you dears
The dearest pals I ever knew
I love you very much & I know
you love me too.
I know I've been wrong in many ways
Please forgive me I know someday
I will pay
Let me show you I can be good
I'll try from day to day
I'd like to turn back the pages of sorrow
& pain that you bared
In days that past a lot of fun things we shared
I know a lot of things you did was all for my sake
I'd like to make it up to you before it is too late
I love my name which too is yours mother
I hope my son will use his name of Morris
I write it proudly in this cover
I need your love now more than ever
For hurting you again I hope that I will never
I hope you will try to understand because I love you too.
