About me:

I was born in Dallas Texas. I spent my childhood in Florida and most of my adult life in San Diego, California. I met my husband , Tom in Pt Mugu, California. (Near Oxnard/Ventura)He was  a Senior Chief in the Navy. We retired in April of 1998 and moved to New Mexico where his pension could adequately provide for us. In 2005 we relocated to Helena Montana realizing the Lord wanted our new personal ministry to grow.

I began researching genealogy as a "gofer" for my mom and dad in 1965 when I was 16. I discovered it was quite an interesting hobby and became hooked on genealogy.  I began my own serious researching by the late 1970's. I had all of my info on a computer long before anyone had home computers. I was connected to the internet almost the same day it began. I have collected a library of over 300 books and CD's to aid in my research and I purchase something new each month.  Within the past several years I have accomplished my life dream of publishing my family history book on both my father and mother's side of the family. The book "Evil In The Barn" was published in 2000 which included the EVILSIZER Family (my father) and the BARNES family (my mother). {Thus the name "Evil In The Barn"} In 1996, with the help of two other people, I formed the Nuckolls Worldwide Kindred Society and we republished "The First Virginia Nuckolls and Kindred" . I recently published a book on the HAYWARD family for my best friend in San Diego who descends from one of the Signers of the Declaration of Independence.

Because my ancestor's brother Henry Evilsizer settled in Champaign County early, my research efforts took me to that area. So for the past 20 years I have purchased all of the books published by the Genealogy Society and continued to add aligning families. It seems the Evilsizers/or married into almost every common surname from that area.  One thing lead to another and now my database is extensive with notes, stories and complete sources. I may or may not related to the families, but please feel free to make additions, corrections, send photos, stories and help to make this the greatest research tool in Champaign County. Look up your ancestor in our extensive database. (The names are NOT included in the search engine, so your research cannot be complete until you check)
