DUNSETH
Thomas Dunseth is believed to be the grandfather of our Eliza Dunseth Wiggenroth based on a will that mentions William as his son. Also the family name is the same spelling and township of residence is the same. There are a number of other families in Allegheny County from Ireland, who spell their name Dunseath. However, the will mentions a grandaughter Dorcas who cannot be matched with any of William's children. Thomas is listed in each of the censuses for Elizabeth Township, Allegheny County from 1810 to 1840.
William Dunseth is found in the 1850 and 1860 census for Elizabeth Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. He was likely born there since his father appears in the census for that township all the way back to 1810. In 1850 he lists his occupation as farmer and in 1860 as a coal merchant. After 1860, he either died or moved on to another state. His son Thomas is found in Washington County Pennsylvania in 1880.1
