Benedict Walperswiller, Sr. was born May 1827 in Seedorf, Bern Cannon,
Switzerland and died in 1909 in Cape Girardeau County, Missouri. He married
Johanna S. W. Amelunke February 03, 1865 in Cape Girardeau County, Misssouri,
daughter of Heinrich "Christian" Amelunke and Johanne Klusmann.
She was born February 17, 1842 in Klein Rhüden, Seesen, Niedersachsen, Germany
and died February 11, 1884 in Gordonville, Cape Girardeau County, Missouri.
