LISCOMB (LUSCOMB), William, Saco and Salem, received grants of land at Saco from the town, 1653 ("History of Saco and Biddeford", by Folsom). According to the "Genealogical Dictionary of Maine and New Hampshire", he had a grant of 100 acres from Major Phillips in 1662. He had married his wife, Susanna, surname unknown, by 1650. He was sued for debt by James Harmon in 1670; and soon moved to Rev. Robert Jordan's land at Nonsuch, seemingly as tenant. He was at Scarborough by 1671, where he is listed as "Goodman Luscome". By 4 Dec. 1680 he was at Salem and bought land, final payment being made by his wife during his absence in England in 1686. In 1729 his daughters. Elizabeth Lewis and Joanna Darling, both widows, of Middleboro, sold 100 acres in Biddeford "over against Cedar and Cow islands, formerly their father's property", to John Gordon.
