Church Record for 1886

[there is no record for January through April 1886]

May first Saturday 1886. Church met at Big Spring. After preaching the church was called to order & agreed to put off their sacrament until June meeting.

June first Saturday 1886. Church met and after preaching the church was called to order. There was a request from our sister church at Dotson Creek inviting our ministers and deacons to be with them at their June meeting on a sacramental occasion. Done by order of the church.

July first Saturday 1886. Church met at big Springs. After preaching the church was called to order.
First agreed to letter & delligates to the Association & appointed Brethren to bear the letter to wit: Eld. Nathan Hurst, D. H. Rosenbalm, P. L. Evans, David Hewett and Daniel Green.
Done by order of the church. D. H. Rosenbalm clerk. Nathan Hurst mod.

Sister Winney Day departed this life August 6th 1886. She was one of our oldest members, a beloved sister in full fellowship with us.

Louisa Ward departed this life the last of Sept. or the first of Oct. 1886, in good standing in full fellowship with us. We have just learned that Louisa Ward died September 23th 1886.

Sister Elisabeth Zeaks departed this life November 27th 1886. She was a member of Big Spring Church in good standing, in full fellowship with us.
