Lest We Forget - This section is dedicated to the memory of the men and women in our families who served their countries, many of whom who paid the ultimate price to secure the freedoms we enjoy today.

 

The following is a collection of records relating to Australian Veterans in both World War I and the Boer War. Some of these records can be found with the Commonwealth War Graves collection.

  1. Cullinan, G.T.
    VX122245 - Private [Pte] with the 2/33 Infantry Battalion (Australian Army).
    Fought in World War II (1939-1945). Killed in Action, October 13, 1943, New Guinea.
    Reference: AWM147 Roll of Honour cards, 1939-1945 War, 2nd AIF (Australian Imperial Force) and CMF (Commonwealth Military Force).
  2. Cullinan, Henry Maxwell (Henry Cullinan)
    1939 - Private, with the 8th Battalion, Australian Infantry (Australian Army).
    Fought in World War I (1914-1918). Killed in action on August 7, 1915 at Gallipoli, Turkey.
    Age 24. Son of Ralph Cullinan, L.F. PS., L.M.G., and Marian Helen Cullinan. Native of Wangaratta, Victoria, Australia. Location of Interment: Gallipoli 31, Shrapnel Valley Cemetery (ANZAC).
  3. Cullinan, Patrick Joseph
    28A - Corporal [Cpl], 31st Bn Australian Infantry (Australian Army).
    Fought in World War I (1914-1918). Died of wounds, September 30, 1918. Age 22. Son of Michael and Winifred Cullinan of Aubigny, Oakey, Queensland. Buried at Bellicourt British Cemetery, France.
  4. Cullinan, Ralph Cooke
    922 - Private [Pte], 23rd Bn Australian Infantry (Australian Army).
    Fought in World War I (1914-1918). Died on December 31, 1915 of Bronchitis. Age 26. Son of Ralph and Marian Helen Cullinan. Born at Wangaratta, Victoria, Australia. Buried at Cairo War Memorial Cemetery.
  5. Herbert, John Charles
    1364 - Private [Pte], 2nd Bn Australian Infantry (Australian Army).
    Fought in World War I (1914-1918). Died of wounds on May 30, 1915 at Gallipoli, Turkey. Age 24. Son of Mary Ellen Cullinan (formerly Herbert), and Mr. Cullinan (stepfather). Native of Rutherglen, Victoria, Australia.
  6. Cullinane, John
    3793 - Private [Pte], 25th Battalion AIF (Australian Army).
    Fought in World War I (1914-1918). Killed in Action, November 14, 1916. Buried at Villers Bretonneux, France. Native of Charters Towers, Queensland.
  7. Cullinan, James
    268 - Trooper, 3rd New South Wales Imperial Bushmen.
    Fought during the Boer War. No additional information has been provided.
