How to Read the Results:The results of this survey are shown below. The overall rating by each respondent is noted
on the left with a bar graph that shows the rating against a percentage axis. A good rating will show
a gold bar that extends toward the right; a poor rating will show a gold bar nearer to the 0 mark. All n/a
(not applicable) responses have been given a 10% credit (which may distort the overall rating). To
understand the individual components of the survey, a second bar graph has been added. Each question has been
graded according to the responses provided, where green represents approval and red represents disapproval. The
questions that were used to measure this site include:
- This website was easy to find.
- The website was easy to navigate - I found things easily.
- The website had interesting content.
- I would recommend this site to other researchers.
- I liked the graphics and pictures used in this website.
- The website has useful data that can be easily retrieved.
- The website was well-researched and has reference material.
- I learned a lot about the Cullinans and Cullinanes.
- I learned something about my ancestors at this website.
- The website surpassed my expectations.
Finally, each respondent was given the ability to add comments. |

Thank you for so much work. However; navigation is very, very
difficult if you are not familiar with the overall organization that I
still don't quite understand. Perhaps an explanation of the
organization on the start page might be helpful. The genealogical plates
give sources only rather that any trees that may have been submitted.
There is a wealth of information and sources, but one really has to work
at it to sort it out. I would like to add comments or corrections to
specific pages rather than to a central location. Many pages have
beautiful and artistic backgrounds and overall the artistic quality is
unique.

Thank you for all the hard word put into this site. It has given me
an insight into the family I had no idea about. It is only recently that
I found out I was a Cullinane, my surname is Caldon, a variant on
Cullinane written by a Polish priest in the 1800s.
Once again, thanks for a great site.
Cathy Duhig nee Caldon

Comments:
The site's good features are too numerous to list, but here are
some constructive criticisms:
The "Mini-census" was missing although the page indicated it
was below.
Although you have an index for names, (and topic links on the main page,)
and although the search features are quite useful, there seems to be no
easily understandable site index, so the hierarchy of organization of the
site can be understood, and clearly visualized. It's therefore
difficult to determine if I've followed all the links.
The comments section has many duplications; probably from people hitting
a button numerous times while not waiting for the comment to upload. You
might include a direction to only hit the button once.
The comment section also sometimes seems to not always upload the text
properly. Larger comments that look like links only bring you to some
type of "mail-merge" form. It seems to happen infrequently, and
may be an error in the design of the code that runs this section.
Blank comment postings are probably the result of the help button being
too close to the "submit" button. The section should also be
pruned of the blanks, and the duplicates.
The Genealogy Plates in some instances, indicate they show the ancestry
of the named person. Some only contain the name of the person, and
references to source notes - but not the actual source note text - the
text of the source would be quite useful in order to attempt to assess
it's likely accuracy.
If there was a way to add user input and additions to these plates, you
might get a better picture of the families, and how family members are
related.
For example, Rootsweb - World Connect has family trees where the user can
put a "post-em" note providing additional information to the
tree owner. See an example for Patrick Cullinan here:

bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=new_england&id=I35391
Thanks again for your fine project,
Joseph L. McCann

I just got on this site today (8/13/2007) and was overwhelmed by all
the information and the preciseness of it. I am still muddling through
and just fascinated. Ratings I'm sure will be much higher once
I've finished the entire site. Thanks so much for your dedication to
the site. Ronnie Lorentz, daughter-in-law of Rita Ellen Cullinan, who was
granddaughter of Lot Cullinan, born in Ireland.
