Description:
Above is a picture of the Curragh Camp--where the British Army conducted training and recruitment for most of the last century and beyond. The cemetery of British Army officers is situated on a hill overlooking the Curragh. The stones date back
prior to 1800 and are in a serious state of decay and ruin. There were several Cullinan and Cullinane family members who joined the British Army, leaving their family and country behind to venture as far off as India, Australia and Africa during the
last century.
