Description:
This memorial card is a typical for this period, providing the name of the deceased, pertinent dates and usually a verse from scripture. The card was printed and distributed to family members and friends of the deceased, and with much luck, the cards were kept for generations. This was quite a discovery and had been nearly lost to the family for more than 80 years. The card reads as follows:

To the Memory of
James Cullinan
DIED
Nov. 22, 1901
AGED
77 Years
One precious to our hearts has gone,
The voice we loved is stilled
The place made vacant in our home
Can never more be filled
Our Father in His widom called
The boon His love had given ;
and though on earth the body lies,
The soul is safe in Heaven
