Biographical Information
John Joseph Cullinan was baptized at the Parish Church in Kilbrickan, near Clarecastle, County Clare, Ireland on March 28, 1869. He was the son of Michael Cullinan and Mary McDonnell, the
latter was the daughter of Patrick McDonnell of Drumcavan, Ireland.
On September 1, 1897, John Joseph Cullinan was married to Nancy Margaret Clark (1876-1976) in Littleton, West Virginia. It was more than a dozen years, and after most of his children, that he became an American citizen, on October 4, 1910. They had
seven children: Mary Margaret Cullinan (1898-1899); Michael Clark Cullinan (1899-1931); Kathleen Marie Cullinan (1901-); Mary Agnes Cullinan (1903-1954); Margaret Ann Cullinan (1906-); Elizabeth Lusby Cullinan (1908-) and Robert Joseph Cullinan
(1915-1966).
