Biographical Information

This photograph was loaned to me by Mrs. Peggy (née Cullinan) Curtis who lives in Watertown, New York. Peggy told me about her father, who passed away when she was a child. Charles Cullinan was an accountant by occupation and worked for the Odenbachs, a prosperous family in Rochester. The Odenbachs owned and operated a hopfbrauhaus in Rochester called Hotel Hayward--considered a very hot club for dining and dancing. Charles often used to play piano at the club, and was respected as a capable accompanist in the city. This talent was passed on to Peggy who attended the Juliard School in New York City.
