Comments:

  1. I spoke to Michael Shane in May of 1995. His father was in business with Cornelius McCarthy under the firm name Shane & McCarthy, Solicitors and had their offices in Olean, New York. Cornelius McCarthy was a first cousin to Edmund P. Cullinan and Shane said that he and his family knew the Cullinans well.
  2. When she was going to school, Michael Shane's sister, Kathleen (née Shane) O'Hara lived next door to Edmund and Virginia Cullinan in Washington. Shane said that the Cullinans were the brains in the family and that Ed had a very big job in Washington. He also mentioned that he would ask his sister to write a few words about Edmund and Virginia Cullinan. Mrs. O'Hara lives in Washington DC.
