Comments:

  1. Richard D. Kelly Jr., author of the book entitled The Decendants of Dennis T. Cullinan of Ennis, County Clare, Ireland, with notes on the Shanley Family states that: in the Tithe Applotment Book of 1843, Dennis Cullinan [...] was a tenant farmer of 13 acres of land in the Parish of Ennis, County Clare, Ireland. The Tithe Applotment Book was a listing of tenants who were liable for the payment of taxes to the Established Protestant Church. There were six brothers who were born in Ireland and all of them moved to Maine, probably around the time of the Potato Famine. These brothers, Michael Cullinan (c1813-1896), Patrick Cullinan (c1817-1900), James Cullinan (<1840->1870), Lott Cullinan (->1950), John Cullinan (->1850) and Dennis T. Cullinan (1821-1892).
  2. Mary Josephine Cullinan (1852-1936) was married on October 13, 1872 at Bangor, Penobscot, Maine to Thomas Shanley (1847-1900), the son of John and Mary (Donnelly) Shanley.
  3. Charles H. Cullinan Jr. (1897-1921) never married. "Private First Class... Enlisted April 10, 1917; Overseas September 25, 1917 to September 10, 1919; Campaigns included Champagne-Marne, St. Mihiel and Meuse-Argonne; Wounded July 15, 1918; Discharged September 17, 1919 (--from Richard D. Kelly’s book, p. 23).
