The Eastern Townships won the first ever Quebec Golf Association inter-sectional matches, Sunday at the Cowansville Golf Club.

The Townships collected 40 points to beat the Ottawa and Montreal areas, that tied for second with 32 points each.

Peter Zebchuck and Tony Perry, both of the Ottawa Hunt, and Brian Cullinan, of Rideau View, tied among the leading scorers by scoring the maximum 6 points.
