Galway, Oranmore - n/a A large family of Cullinans originated near Galway (City). The family had a long tradition of affiliation with the Poor Clare Sisters, Nun's Island, Co. Galway as well as the Mercy Sisters. They are related to Patrick Joseph Cullinan, who was a prosperous horse breeder. Patrick Dunne (Paddy) Cullinan (-1978) of Irish Destiny is related to this family.
