Our Traditional Homelands County Donegal, Ireland
Below is a sampling of a few of the families which have been
identified (the branches for this county are too numerous to list). If
you would like to add your family links to this page, you may do so by writing a note to
the author. |

Ballyshannon - 1790 There was supposed to have been a Thomas Cullinan who had an iron works shop in Co. Donegal about 200 years ago. In another account, a Thomas Cullinan in Ballyshannon owned 935 acres of land in 1810. Most of the Cullinans and Cullinanes in Ireland had previously had their land confiscated, so this Thomas Cullinan was among the first land-owning Cullinans, yet little is known about him. Today there are Cullinans in County Donegal, but I have not pursued these lines. No Plate.
