		Recorded civilization found in the Nordic countries, clearly demonstrating the end of nomadic existence.

B.C. 3000		Neolithic European colonization
		Recorded colonization of rural European towns and villages.

B.C. 2000	Beakers arrive in Ireland
	Skilled miners and metal workers appear in Ireland, leaving a legacy of chambered graves, standing stones and markers--believed to have a significance in astronomy.

B.C. 500	Celts invade Ireland
	With the Celts came a highly organized social structure, comprising three classes of people: warriors, artisans and slaves. Every clan had its own king, who was governed by the High King at Tara.
