The Secretary,
Claremen's Association
New York
Dear Secretary:
I am happy to associate myself with the coming celebrations when your Association will commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Association.
May I extend, through you to the various members of the Association, my sincere congratulations on this great and memorable occasion and accord to all concerned my good wishes for a prosperous future. May God bless you and your noble efforts. May you remain ever mindful of the homeland and may you pass on to your sons and daughters the
same deep love of, and unflinching attachments to, the Faith of your Fathers. May the "old country" have reason to be always proud of you and may the success, prosperity and esprit de corps" which has animated your Association during the past 75 years, endure in unselfish devotion one towards another during the days to come.
May the celebrations be crowned with success and may God continue to
bless Clare and its exiled sons and daughters in the United States.
Signed: JOHN J. McCARTY,

The President
Claremen's Association
New York
Dear Mr. President:
I arrived in Rome for the Council on 28th Sept. and on the following evening I attended a reception given by the Irish Ambassador to the Holy See where I met some Bishops and guests of Clare origin like myself. From them I learned that you are celebrating the 75th anniversary of your great association this month.
As a son of the soil and a past student of St. Flannan's, Ennis, I am very happy to join in with all Clarernen and women as you celebrate this great milestone in the history of your Association. I will offer my Mass for you on that morning. Though we may never meet in this life, we have a firm hope of meeting in Heaven, thanks to our
great faith.
I send you my blessing and every good wish for the future.
Yours fraternally in Christ,
T. J. BROSNAHAN, C.S.Sp.,
Bishop of Freetown and Bo. W.A.
