If you have an original or a reprinted "Bard Book" (The Bard Family by G. O. Seilhamer), or; you know of the existence of an original or a reprint, please contact us via e-mail , (or snail mail to below address) so that we may record (or assign for reprints) the appropriate number in our registry database. Also if you come across one in a library, flea market, or book dealer, either jot down the book number and the owner's information/location, or... BUY THE BOOK! Either way let us know where it is. We believe that Sen. Thomas R. Bard numbered the original books that he sent to individuals identified as relations by G. O. Seilhamer's research, and to individuals who helped him with continued research, and various libraries. Some originals were not numbered. Reprints are somewhat different in size and facing matter, and up to this point (Jan.97) have not been numbered. We plan to assign R (Reprint) and E (Electronic reprint) numbers to the reprinted books we sell through this Web site; henceforth and forthwith. If you would like a number assigned to your reprint, even if you purchased it somewhere else, please let us know.
* Note: We acknowledge the right to privacy of individuals listed on this registry. If you would rather not have your regular address published, please let us know, and we will only list your e-mail address.
The publishers, webmasters, and pagemasters of our little co-op Web site would like to profusely thank all contributors and information providers who supported this site by submitting various types of genealogy information; directing us to relevant reference and personal genealogy sources; promoting and sponsoring our site on the World Wide Web; and last, but certainly not least, by purchasing genealogy items and Bard Books. This endeavor is much too demanding to be successfully accomplished and fulfilled by only one person, now, and especially into the future as our information proliferates. We couldn't have done it without you! Thanks to all!
If you would like to be a pagemaster on one of our automatically formatted pages (it's really easy, and can be done your own way and in your own time), and you wish to receive more info, or, if you have an idea, or some way of contributing that would benefit or promote this Web site... or if you wish to purchase a reprinted Bard Book, or CD-ROM, send e-mail .
If you have information that you would like to see added / updated in this registry send it to:

Purchased from this Web site in December of 1999. David RYALL is a Bard of "Carroll's Delight" relation and descendant of Richard BARD+Catharine POE via Elizabeth BARD+James McKINNEY and Katherine McKINNEY+Alex McMULLEN and James McMULLEN +Ann ROBERTS and John Franklin HOVIS+Ann Roberts McMULLEN and Marion Boyd HOVIS+John Herbert RYALL. I read Thomas Smith's posting and identified with it. The Isaac BARD mentioned is the first surviving son after his mother, Catherine (Poe) was released from captivity. I am descended from child number 8, Elizabeth who married James McKinnie. According to Mr. Seilhamer's book (which took my family 50 years to find a copy, and that was a reprint) James' sister Mary was married to John McCullough, who was captured by Indians in 1756. Can anyone suggest how I can view a copy of 'Border Life' in which his 'narrative' is reported? Bear in mind that I am in England. I look forward to learning more about the BARD family and their kin from this list. David Hovis Ryall, Chittlehampton, Devon, England |
