Vera Constance DeSilva PALMER
Vera Constance DeSilva PALMER was the youngest of the 12 children of Francisco & Mary.
She was born in 1907 in Hilgay, Norfolk, 23 years after the birth of her eldest sibling, Francisco Charles,
in 1884. In fact she was born the year her eldest sister, Muriel got married in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Vera married Fred [Sonny] BECKERTON before 1931, as there is mention of a wreath from
"Vera, Sonny and baby" in her father's funeral report in the local paper.

With the 50th anniversary this year [2003] of the East Coast floods of January 1953,
it was also the 50th anniversary of the death of Vera & Fred's eldest son, Peter at the age of 19.
He died whilst attempting to save elderly neighbours from the floods at Hunstanton, Norfolk.
