One of the traction engines owned by Emmanuel was built by Fowell's of St Ives, Hunts. From their register:
"No 45 was built for Larman Register, TE7HP; delivered Sep 1888 - owned later by E. Palmer, Wisbech."
Also, go to the British Steam Engine Preservation Society to see another Fowell traction engine - No.91.
Here are 2 links here and here for threshing machines, such as Emmanuel and his 2 brothers, Lapauldro [Pauli]
& Angelo would have used from around 1885 onwards in the Wisbech area.

Details from the 1901 Census to follow as time permits!

Emma died in April, 1939, and Emmanuel in August 1939 - they are buried together in Mt Pleasant Cemetery, Wisbech.
But, unfortunately, the dates have been transposed on the grave inscription - it reads:
"In loving memory of Emma Mary Palmer died Aug 9th 1939 aged 86 years
Also of Emmanuel Palmer died April 24 1939 aged 86 years - Reunited"
BUT, according to the records of Mt Pleasant Cemetery, it was Emmanuel who was buried 12 August 1939!
