Early PALMERs in Burwell

        The following information is culled from the Burwell Parish registers,
        which I haven't been able to consult yet.  BUT 3 of my mother's cousins
        have, and the same information has come from another PALMER cousin in Lancashire -
        so this is what we have:

        Our earliest known PALMER is Richard PALMER bn abt 1660 in Burwell.
        He married Margaret RICKARD    on 4 October 1683 at St. Mary's, Burwell.  
        This was Richard's 2nd marriage.

        Their children were:

        Henry & Sarah's children were John & Anne PALMER who perished in the Barn Fire at Burwell in 1727
