John CAWTHORN & Sarah TURNER

        John CAWTHORN, 2nd child and 1st son of John & Martha was baptised at 
        Emneth Parish Church on 10 August 1802.       

        On 26 November 1829, he marries Sarah TURNER at St. Peter's Church, Upwell.

        They had 2 children:

        Then tragedy strikes - John, sen. & the baby, Martha die in 1832.  John was 29 years old,
        and Martha was just 2 years old.  Both are buried at St. Peter's Church, Upwell.

        There was a Cholera epidemic in the Eastern Counties around 1832 - I can only assume that this 
        or something similar is what killed John and his baby daughter.

        Sarah and John, jun. re-appear on the 1851 Census - Sarah is re-married to a John SOUTHWELL,  
        Miller/Farmer of 12 acres,  and is living at March Riverside, Upwell; 
        John CAWTHORN, jun. aged 18 is living with them, along with her new family of 4 young sons.
