George CAWTHORN, 2nd son Joseph & Hannah CAWTHORN was born 8 February 1836 in Upwell, Cambs.
George married Hannah BERRY, daughter of John & Tansley BERRY of "The Crown", Crown Drove, Brimstone Hill
on 17 September 1863 at St Peter's Church, Upwell, Norfolk.

in Christchurch, (nr Wisbech), Cambridgeshire.

By the time of the 1891 U.K. Census, George has retired and moved out of the village to Poplar Tree Farm at
Tips End [between Christchurch & Lakesend, but sometimes called West Welney!]:

When I got my own copy of the 1891 Census for Christchurch, I found that George, and his elder son, John, were
Enumerator's for the Christchurch part of the Census!

Hannah died 9 November 1908 and was buried at Christchurch Parish Church on 14 November 1908 - next to her
little grand daughter, Kate who'd died at a month old in 1900.
George died 10 May 1915 and was buried at Christchurch Parish Church on 14 May 1915, next to Hannah.
