It
states on Ada's death certificate that she was divorced. Also,
in William's obituary, it says that he had "children
by a former marriage." The Wood County Clerk of Courts
has the initial filing of the divorce on July 1, 1893 but
do not have any records beyond that such as whether the divorce
was granted or dismissed, etc. In the 1910 Census, Ada is
living with 2 children, Sanford and Fay, no husband. 8
The
1910 census also states that Ada had 7 children, 4 of whom
were still living. 8
