John Martin King

After an illness of five months, John Martin King, aged 82 years, and one of Travis county's best known and oldest residents, died Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at his home 4508 Depew avenue, Ridgetop annex. Deceased is survived by his wife and seven children. He was born in Alabama, but came to Texas at an early age, and since 1860 has lived in this county, and engaged in farming. He was a member of the Methodist church and the Masons. Funeral services will be held at the residence Thursday morning at 10 o'clock. Rev. Beverly Allen officiating. Interment will be the Fiskville cemetery under the auspices of the Masonic lodge.
