Know all men by those present that I Amos Cole of Washington Township in the county of Scioto and state of Ohio, for and in consideration of one hundred and thirty-three dollars lawful money of the United States to him in hand well and truly paid by William of the same County, township and state aforesaid the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge, have given, granted, bargained, sold, released & conveyed, and by those present do give, grant, bargain, sell, release & convey unto the said William Robey and his heirs & assigns forever, all that certain piece or parcel of land [WORD?] lying & being in Washington Township in the county & state aforesaid on the west side of the Scioto River, being the N.E. part of Lot number four (4) in a survey made for Jonathan Johnson and Silas Cole, Esq., now deceased. Beginning at a point in Terry's [CORNER?] [LINE] adjoining John Moore's land running L51' and 31 poles to a Locust Post Corner to David Gharky's Land, thence with said Gharky's line 3 30' [W>?} poles 10 link to a stake from which a hucklberry 14 inches diameter bears L 5'30'W 25 links, thence N. 58' W 10 poles 20 links to a stake in the west lot of said Lot N.4 from which a red Hawthorne 9" in diameter bears L 82'-[?-?]links, thence N. 45' E. 65poles to the beginning containing twenty-two acres and thirty-three hundredths of an acre of land. And all the [WORDS?] right title interest claim and demand of him [THAT?] Amos Cole of in and to the said premises and every part thereof together with all and singular the privileges and appurtenances to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining and the rents issues and profits thereof to have and to hold the [TWO WORDS] premise with the appurtenances to the said William Robey his heirs & assigns to his and their own proper use and behoof forever. and I the said Amos Cole for myself my heirs executors and administrators its covenant promise and ever to and with the said William Robey his heirs, executors, administrators & assigns, that I am lawfully seized in free of the above [WORD] and premises, that they are free from all encumbrances whatsoever, that I have [WORD] rightful power and lawful authority to sell and convey the same in manners [WORD] aforesaid: and further, that I will, and my heirs, executors and administrators shall warrant & defend the above granted premises with their appurtenances and every part thereof to the said William Robey, his heirs & assigns forever, against the lawful claims & [WORD] of any and all persons whomsoever.

In testimony whereof the said Amos Cole hath hereunto set his hand & seal this 24th day of October One Thousand eight hundred & Twenty-nine. Signed sealed acknowledged & delivered in presence of William Anderson Ezra Osborne Amos Cole [SEAL]

State of Ohio Scioto County of. Before me Ezra Osborne one of the Justices of the Peace within [WORD] said County personally appeared the above-named Amos Cole the signer and sealer of the same to be his voluntary act and deed for the use and purposes therein mentioned. Given under my hand and seal this 26th day of October, one thousand and eight hundred and twenty-nine.
