MRS ADOLPH OBITUARY
Mrs. Amanda Adolph died at her home in Scranton, Monday morning, May 11th, 1925, after an illness of but a few days. Mrs. Adolph was well known in this community having lived her for several years, and was held in high respect by all who knew her. As Amanda Wilcox she was born in Illinois, Feb. 24, 1860. She was married to George Adolph July 3rd, 1877. To this union were born ten children: Mrs. Phoebe Yoanker (transcribers note: not sure of spelling of last name - copy not clear) of Eskridge; Mrs. Mary Coon of Burlingame; George Adolph of Burlingame; Joe Adolph of Bigheart, Okla.; Mrs. Nora Holstram, of Burlingame; Ms. Lottie McKnight of Eskridge; William Adolph of Michigan Valley; Mrs. Clara Buterfield of Quenemo; Clarence Adolph of Scranton and Harvey Adolph who was killed in the World War, Sept. 12, 1918.
Mr. Adolph died Oct. 13, 1910. Since that time Mrs. Adolph has made her home in and around Scranton.
She leaves to mourn her death besides her 9 children, 35 grandchildren and 4 great grand-children; also an aged Mother, 8 brothers and 3 sisters.
