Obituary of Studdard, Nancy J.
Nancy J. Studdard born February 22nd, 1833, died at the home of her sister, Mrs. James R. Scott, April 18th, 1911, with whom she had made her home since the death of her husband, Henry Adolph some four years ago.
She professed faith in Christ when but 14 years of age and joined the CP Church with which she remained united until death. The writer doesn't know the exact date of her marriage, but it was some forty years ago. Together they lived some thirty years in Walnut Grove, Mo. and were well known to the writer. They were old-fashioned, honest, consecrated, every-day Christians of which the world needs many more, ever ready to lend a hand; helping in any way they could. They were held in high esteem by all their neighbors. We have no doubt that whent he Lord shall gather up His jewels, Aund Nancy and Uncle Henry will be among the number. She was buried in Pemberton Cemetery after funeral services conducted by the writer.
Let us not sorrow as those who have no hope.
