It contains much genealogy of early settlers and details of many historical incidents in which they participated. It is recommended reading for anybody researching early New England - Kansas City Genealogist, Vol. 36, #1
The book is well researched and written within the context of unfolding American History rather than from a genealogical perspective - American Family Records Association, TODAY, Vol. 15, #3.
Chapter by Chapter, these lines are skillfully woven together in narrative form - Ark-La-Tex Genealogical Assn. THE GENIE, Vol. 28 #3
