Shortly before I retired in August of 1997 I became interested in genealogy and began research on the Internet. I have been researching the various families in my background - Dysart, Myers, Moore (O'Moore), and Eyestone (Augenstein) (my father's ancestors), as well as Brown, White, Beaman, and Sherrod (my mother's ancestors). I realize the Browns, the Myers, Whites, and the Moores may be difficult to find because of the number of families with those surnames. Also, I have virtually nothing to begin so these will be a "from scratch" searches.
In addition, I am researching my husband's ancestors--Tapp, McGullion, Flowers, and Braswell (his father's ancestors), as well as Henderson, Chesnut, Brown, and Grant, (his mother's ancestors).
It's interesting to note that both my husband and I have Brown ancestors. Wonder if we are distant cousins!! Hmmmmm!!!

Click on the links below for more information on the families with the surnames listed:
On each of these highlighted sites, you will find basic information on that branch of the family, family crests of the family name (if there is one available; I make no claim as to whether or not the crest is the actual one for our ancestors), Internet links to pages of descendants of people with the same surname, other Internet links to that family, GEDCOM and FTM files of that family (if available), information on mailing lists concerning that surname, and links to genealogy forums on that surname. Enjoy!
