Obituary of Sarah (Eliza) Mullen
from the Shelton Clipper

Sarah Eliza Mullen was born in Putnam County, Illinois on January 11, 1863 and died in Lincoln, Nebraska at the home of her daughter, March 14, 1916.

When yet a young girl she moved with her parents to Iowa. The family moved to Nebraska in 1885 and located in Antelope County.

She married Jerome William Loffer at Dunlap, Iowa in the year 1880. They came to this community in 1896 and moved from here to Eddyville in 1908. She is survived by her husband and the following six children:

• Harry Loffer, Sumner, Nebr.
• Mrs. Millie Line, Lincoln, Nebr.
• Mrs. Pearl Devermyer, Lincoln, Nebr.
• Mrs. Ethel Steven, Lincoln, Nebr.
• William Loffer, Shelton, Nebr.

Also surviving are 6 sisters, 1 brother and her mother at Mason City.

• Mrs. F.L. Chapman, Wier, Iowa
• Mrs. O.M. McKnight, Shelton, Nebr.
• Mrs. Ada Remy, Pasadena, Calif.
• Mrs. Ollie Fullerton, Laukersham, Calif.
• William Mullen, Dunlap, Iowa

Grandmother of Roy Loffer, Gibbon.

Interment was in Shelton Cemetery.
