The cover
of the bible is missing, and the book is in very rough condition,
but a tattered inside-facing page contains an artful
pencil sketch and "Nellie M. Prior, Almond N.Y."
The bible was published by the American Bible Society,
New York, 1893. A hand-written note on the paper bag in
which the bible is stored says "All the Family records
in this Bible. Mother [sic] Bible when she was 18 yrs
old."
