THE LETTER
WRITTEN BY
THEODOR FRANZ CARL MOHLE BOLZAU

This letter was also written by my great grandfather, my daugher's great great grandfather in 1873 after his arrival in Tempe, Arizona to his sister-in-law Metha, wife of his brother Moritz, who were living in Germany.

Dear sister-in-law Metha!

I can hardly speak out how Your Greeting and good Wish had pleasantly surprised me.   One needs to be far apart from home and the loved ones to feel that feeling that in the far distance still hearts beat in love for one.   The loneliness fades and happily and courageously one faces the future which includes the hope to once personally welcome the Loved and Dear relatives.

May God protect us and fulfill our hopes.   Please friendliest greet Your sister Mrs. Klee from me and are You greeted heartedly and ardent from
Your brother-in-law
Charles Bolzau.***
