PROBATE WILL 1866
BENJAMIN CANTRILL (1797-1864)
This is the last will and testament of me BENJAMIN CANTRILL of the township of Hasland in the county of Derby. I direct that all my just debts, funeral and testamentary expenses be paid and discharged by my executing hereinafter named. I give, devise and bequeath all my estate and all my personal estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever unto my beloved wife ELIZABETH CANTRILL her heirs executor administrator and assigns for her and their use and benefit forever and hereby nominate and appoint my said wife sole executive of this will hereby revoking all former wills by me at any time heretofore made and published and declare this only to be my last will and testament. In Witness whereof have hereto set my hand this eighteenth day of March in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty nine – Benjamin Cantrill – Made signed published and declared by the said testator as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses to the same – ROBERT SHAW – HARRY BARWALL - & EDWARD GLASEBROOK WILLIAM SCOTT
Proved at Derby the 11th day of October 1866 by the oath of ELIZABETH CANTRILL widow relict the sole executive to whom administration was granted. The testator BENJAMIN CANTRILL was late of Hasland in the parish of Chesterfield in the county of Derby Carpenter and died on the 18th day of May 1864 at Hasland aforesaid Effects under £100
