i. George H. Selkirk was born about 1835 in New York. He was a Lt. Colonel with the 49th NY from 1861 to 1865. He later worked as a sculptor, newspaper publisher, and a printer. He married Emily S. Peabody (b. about 1846 in Connecticut). Children:

i. John E. Selkirk was born about 1871 in New York. He was a lawyer.

ii. Henry Box Selkirk was born on 18 January 1873 in New York, and died before the 1930 census. He married Florence P. (b. about 1886 in Illinois).

iii. Grace A. Selkirk was born about 1884 in New York.

ii. Charles E. Selkirk was born December 1847 in New York, and died before the 1910 census. He worked at various occupations such as a clerk in an insurance office, a paper hanger dealer, and a capitalist. He married Jennie A. (b. about March 1850 in New York). Children:

i. Hattie Selkirk was born about 1872 in New York.

ii.Cornelia B. Selkirk was born January 1874 in New York.

iii.Edward Arthur Selkirk was born on 10 April 1876 in New York. He married Blanche Barbara? (b. about 1878 in New York) about 1904.

iv. Gertrude E. Selkirk was born about December 1886 in New York.
