George Leonard Klinck (J. George Klinck¹, Leonard Klinck²) was born on 07 August 1809 in Markham twp., York Co., Ontario and died on 18 March 1853 in Markham twp., York Co., Ontario. He was killed by a falling tree, and is buried at Victoria Square, Ontario. He was a farmer and owned land in Markham twp.

Mary Polly Horner was born on 02 April 1819 in Markham twp., York Co., Ontario, daughter of Emanuel Horner (a successful and wealthy farmer) and Catherine Fisher. She died on 30 May 1875 in Markham twp., York Co., Ontario. She is buried at Victoria Square, Ontario. They married on 07 April 1835 in Richmond Hill, Ontario. They had 12 children, one of whom died young. Children, including two sets of twins:

i. Leonard Peter Klinck was born on 16 September 1836 at Markham twp., York Co., Ontario, and died on 07 October 1836 at Markham twp., York Co., Ontario.

v. Daniel Klinck (twin of Abraham) born 06 July 1841 at Markham Twp., York Co. Ontario d. June 15, 1922, Princeville, Illinois; m. February 18, 1869, Haldimand, York, Ontario.

vi. James Klinck born 22 August 1843/August 02, 1842 Markham Township, York County, Ontario and died on 22 April 1907 Markham Township, York County, Ontario. He was a farmer. He married Margaret Clark (born about 1843 at Markham Township, York County, Ontario; d. 20 March 1893 of a ruptured blood vessel at York Co., Ontario) on 21 April 1869 at York Co, Ontario. Lizzie Fish said that he had a farm at Yellowgrass, Saskatchewan. Children:

i. George Almer Klinck was born on 24 February 1870 at Markham twp., York Co., Ontario, and died of consumption (which he had been suffering from for two years) on 01 February 1897 in York Co., Ontario. He was a railroad conductor.

ii. James Parker Klinck was born about 1874 at Jersey, Ontario. He was a bartender. He married first Fanny Wells (b. about 1873 at Stratford, Ontario; daughter of Henry and Fanny Wells) on 12 December 1894 at Toronto, York Co., Ontario. It appears that he worked as a bartender in the US while his wife and children remained in Canada. Children:

i. Mable Consulla Klinck was born on 16 September 1895 at York Co., Ontario.

ii. Otha William Parker Klinck was born on 01 March 1899 at York Co., Ontario, and died in October 1972 at Buffalo, Erie Co., New York. He married Marjorie (b. about 1903 in New York).

James married second Ella (b. about 1884 in Maryland). He moved to the US in 1899.

iii. Mabel Theresa Klinck was born on 17 April 1877 at Simcoe Co., Ontario.

vii. Martha Klinck (twin of Mary) was born on 30 May 1845 Markham Township, York County, Ontario, and died on 12 April 1917 of pneumonia in Simcoe Co., Ontario. She married Samuel Ditson (b. 22 April 1847 in Nottawasaga, Simcoe Co, Ontario, and died on 08 July 1912 in Simcoe Co., Ontario; son of Charles (Dietze) Ditson and Elizabeth Baker) on 22 July 1868 at Richmond Hill, Markham twp., York Co. Ontario. Children:

i. James Albert Ditson was born on 15 August 1869 in Simcoe Co., Ontario. I can’t find any record of him after the 1881 census.

ii. Ernest Almer Ditson was born on 11 November 1871 in Ontario. He married Mary McKinlay (b. 23 October 1869 in Ontario) on 27 September 1899 at Collingwood, Simcoe Co., Ontario. Children:

i. John Almer Ditson was born on 19 February 1905 at Simcoe Co., Ontario.

iii. Thomas William Ditson was born on 23 August 1873 at Simcoe Co., Ontario.

iv. Mary Elizabeth Ditson was born on 26 November 1875 in Ontario, and died on 10 January 1934 at Collingwood, Simcoe Co., Ontario. She married Joseph Patrick Welsh (born March 1870) on 17 April 1907 at Collingwood, Simcoe Co., Ontario. Children:

i. Beatrice M. Welsh was born February 1908 in Ontario.

v. Louis Albert Ditson was born about 1873 in Ontario. He married Ethel M. W. Brown (b. about , daughter of Motson and Annie (Aikens) Brown) on 04 April 1906 at Collingwood, Simcoe Co., Ontario. not in the 1881 census?

viii. Mary Klinck (twin of Martha) was born on 30 May 1845 at Victoria Square, Markham twp. Ontario.

ix. Elizabeth Klinck born 07 July 1847 in Victoria Square, Markham twp, Ontario, and died on 29 November 1913 at Whitechurch, York Co., Ontario of angina pectoris. She married Elias Baker (b. 15 April 1846, Markham Township, York County, Ontario, son of John and Elizabeth (Nigh) Baker ; died on 16 November 1921 of myocardial degeneration at York Co., Ontario) on 11 May 1869. He was buried at Heise Hill, Markham, York twp., Ontario. Their daughter was adopted.

i. Annie Dacker was born about 08 February 1876 in Ontario.

x. Joseph Klinck was born on 04 January 1849 at Markham twp., York Co., Ontario and died on 21 December 1906. He farmed at Markham, Ontario. He married Annie Grabon (b. 06 June 1858 at Wannover, Ontario, daughter of Peter and Margaret Grabon; d. 09 March 1936, Markham Township, York County, Ontario) on 28 January 1879 at Nottawasaga, Simcoe Co., Ontario. ix. Ernest Morley Klinck was born on 20 February 1896 at Indian Head, Saskatchewan. He married Mary Elmina Lounds (b. about 1901 at Nottawa, Ontario) on 05 January 1921 at Simcoe Co., Ontario. He was a teacher a the time of their marriage.

x. Emma Frances Klinck was born on 19 June 1898 at Indian Head, Saskatchewan.

xi. Elias John Klinck was born on 03 October 1850 at Markham Township, York County, Ontario and died on 31 March 1925 of heart trouble. He was buried at the Park Lawn Cemetery. He was a postmaster, railroad man, and merchant. He married Emma Mabley (b. 07 September 1855, daughter of John Mabley and Rebecca Bennett; d. 15 February 1923 of Bronchitis at Toronto, York Co., Ontario; bur. Park Lawn Cemetery) on 19 January 1874 at King twp., York Co., Ontario. They lived in Toronto, Ontario. Children:

i. Leonard John Klinck was born on 20 December 1874 in Ontario, and probably died before the 1881 census.

ii. Ethel Rebecca Klinck was born on 15 April 1876 in York Co., Ontario.

iii. Edith Elizabeth Klinck was born on 08 May 1878 at Stayner, Simcoe Co., Ontario, and died on 08 September 1922 of a brain tumor at York Co., Ontario. She was buried at the Park Lawn Cemetery. She married James Paton Marshall (b. about December 1876 at Glasgow, Scotland, son of Archibald Marshall and Annie Patton) on 02 August 1905 at York Co., Ontario. He was a blacksmith at the time of his marriage.

September 1887 at Aurora, Ontario; daughter of Henry Storey and Sarah Ann Cappel; d. 17 July 1928 of carcinoma at Aurora, York Co., Ontario; bur. Park Lawn Cemetery) on 28 September 1912 at Toronto, York Co., Ontario.

v. Elsie Winnifred Klinck was born on 19 August 1883 at Stayner, Renfrew Co., Ontario, and died on 13 April 1888 in Simcoe Co., Ontario.
