     LAST RITES FRIDAY FOR MRS. DUPRE'

Funeral services will be held at the Presbyterian church for Mrs. Edith
DuPre, 83, on Friday afternoon, April 9, at two o'clock. Services will be in
charge of Rev. Roy Wilson, pastor of the church. Burial will be at Hayes
cemetery east of Toledo.

Mrs. DuPre suffered a heart attack on Thursday, April 1 and was taken to the
University hospital at Iowa City. She died at 5:55 p.m., Tuesday. She had
been making her home with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. And Mrs. Alvin
DuPre in Toledo for the past year and a half.

The daughter of George and Jane Border Lyman, she was born February 15, 1871
at Victor. She received her education in the rural schools and on October
14, 1895 was married to Theodore DuPre. They farmed southeast of Chelsea for
many years. Mr. DuPre died December 10, 1933.

Mrs. DuPre then came to Toledo soon after Mr. DuPre's death and resided in
her own home until about a year and a half ago. She was a member of the
Booster class of the Presbyterian church.

Surviving are a daughter and two sons, Mrs. Charles (Lavonne) Kasal, Alvin
and Marvin all of Toledo; 13 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Olive Vermace of Mount Pleasant; Mrs.
Bertha Bope of Belle Plaine, and Mrs. Alma Dutro of Covington, Kentucky and
two brothers, George Lyman of Brooklyn and Ora Lyman of Traer. Two sisters,
two brothers, her parents preceded her in death and a child died in infancy.

--Mr. and Mrs. George Lyman and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Heishman attended a reunion of the Lyman and Bope families at the Belle Plaine park last Sunday. There were 95 present.
