Chilton Times May 6, 1865

Premature-The Appleton Cresent announces that Lieut. Jermone A. Watrous, Adjutant of the 6th Wisconsin, was killed in battle on the 31st of March.

We are happy to inform the Cresent that Jerome was taken prisoner, on the date above referred to, instead of being killed, and was paroled three days afterwards all right, with the exception of the loss of a new hat, confiscated by the rebel surgeon. He is daily expected home, and is probably now in the State.
