July 22, 1865

On Monday July 17th, 1865, by Rev. Father McMahon, Mr. John Minaghan, of Charlestown, to Miss Susan Duffy, of Chilton.
The bonny bride is one of Chilton's fairest daughters, and the good looking bridegroom, although only a short time resident of this County has, by his courteous and obliging ways, won the respect and confidence of all who have become acquainted with him.
May happiness and prosperity always attend the newly wedded pair is the wish of their host of friends.
All who attended the wedding party at 'Squire Duffy's residence unite in saying that they never spent so pleasant a night in their lives as they did on this occasion. As for ourself we never enjoyed a pleasanter time.
