Chilton Times - October 18, 1919

A wedding of interest to the people of the county took place in St. Mary's church in this city on Tuesday morning at 9:00 o'clock when Mr. Joseph Tilger of the town of Rantoul and Miss Magdalena Mallmann of School Hill were united in marriage, Rev. Fr. L. N. Thelen officating. The young couple were attended by Mr. Aloys Tilger and Miss Mary Tilger, brother and sister of the bridegroom. The bride wore a navy blue suit with hat to match and a corsage bouquet of bridal roses. The bridesmaid's suit was also navy blue with hat to match and a corsage bouquet of white roses. After the ceremony the newly married couple drove to the home of the bridesgroom's mother, Mrs. Agnes Tilger, of Rantoul where a wedding dinner was served in honor of the happy event. The bridegroom is a son of Mrs. Agnes Tilger of Rantoul and is a sturdy, industrios young farmer. He has operated the Tilger homestead with his mother for many years and with his bride will continue to make his home there. He is a capable young man and is well liked in the communtiy from which he comes. His bride is a resident of School Hill and spent the past summer at Stockbridge. those who have the pleasure of her acquaintance speak highly of her. The Times joins their many friends in wishing them many years of happiness and prosperity.
