A Golden Wedding Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Reinhart Fricke of Fond du Lac Celebrate an Important Event on Monday.
Senator and Mrs. Henry Rollmann were at Fond du Lac Monday to attend the golden wedding celebration of the former's
uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. R. Fricke. Mr. and Mrs. Fricke celebrated the happy event by holding open house to their
friends from 2:00 until 5:00 o'clock in the afternoon. At 12:30 o'clock p.m. a four course dinner was served to
relatives of the host and hostess among the people present being Mr. and Mrs. S. D. Hessler, of Glenbeulah, Julius
Fricke, of St. Cloud, Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Bauman, of Kiel, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Rollmann, of Chilton, Mrs. A Wippermann,
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Rollmann, and Mrs. Otto Rollmann, of Shawano, Mr. and Mrs. W. Fricke and Edward Fricke, of
Wahpeton, N. D.
The rooms were artistically decorated in yellow flowers and gold streamers. Cut flowers also formed a feature part
of the general decorating scheme.
Mr. Fricke was born Dec. 9, 1840, in Barenburg, Dessau, Germany. He came to America with his parents in 1847. Upon
arriving in New York they went to Sheboygan and thence to the town of Marshfield, Fond du Lac county, where they
settled on a farm two and a half miles from Mt. Calvary Mr. Fricke lived in this home for fifty-seven years. On
Dec. 13, 1865, he was married to Louise Schunke. Louise Schunke was born in Nauenberg, Saxony, Germany, June
29th, 1848. She came to America with her parents when six years of age, the family settling in Greenbush, Sheboygan
county.
Mr. and Mrs. Fricke are well and favorably known in Calumet county and their many friends join The Times in wishing
them many more happy anniversaries.
